Smiley Children Society Leads Community Efforts to Make Education Accessible for Every Child
Mandapeta, Andhra Pradesh: Education has the power to transform lives, and ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn remains the guiding vision of Smiley Children Society. Since its founding on January 19, 2019, the organization has been actively working across Andhra Pradesh to improve educational access, support underprivileged students, and encourage community participation in child development.
Founded by Prudhvi Moses, Smiley Children Society operates from its headquarters in Mandapeta, with branch offices in Angara (East Godavari District) and Pothavaram (West Godavari District). Through a dedicated network of volunteers, the organization has built a reputation for addressing educational challenges at the grassroots level while promoting equal opportunities for children.
One of the organization’s major initiatives involves helping children from economically weaker families enroll in government schools. Volunteers regularly visit villages and local communities to identify children who are not attending school, counsel parents about the importance of education, assist with documentation, and coordinate with school authorities to complete the admission process.
These efforts have been appreciated by Headmaster Swamy Narayan, who recognized the valuable role played by Smiley Children Society’s volunteers in increasing school enrollment and supporting the government’s vision of universal education.
“Our work begins with identifying children who need support, but it does not end with school admission,” said Founder Prudhvi Moses. “We believe that every child deserves continuous encouragement, academic guidance, and a positive learning environment to succeed.”
To ensure students continue progressing in their education, Smiley Children Society conducts free evening tuition classes at its Angara branch. These sessions provide additional instruction in core subjects, homework assistance, revision, and examination preparation for students who need extra academic support.
The organization also provides free dinner to children attending the tuition classes, recognizing that proper nutrition contributes significantly to concentration, learning, and overall well-being. This initiative has become an important source of support for families facing financial difficulties.
Beyond its academic programs, Smiley Children Society advocates for strengthening early childhood education by encouraging Anganwadi centres and primary schools to adopt creative and activity-based teaching methods. During educational events, Prudhvi Moses has highlighted the importance of storytelling, educational games, visual learning tools, and interactive classroom activities in making learning enjoyable and effective for young children.
In line with this vision, the organization regularly donates educational materials, classroom equipment, and learning aids to schools that promote innovative teaching practices, helping educators create engaging and child-friendly classrooms.
As Smiley Children Society continues to expand its reach, it remains committed to empowering children through education, nutrition, and community collaboration. By working alongside schools, volunteers, and local communities, the organization continues to build pathways toward a brighter and more inclusive future for children across Andhra Pradesh.
