Varun Kaushik is an Indian filmmaker, writer and film producer whose professional career has developed across several areas of visual media. Born in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, he later moved to Mumbai, Maharashtra, where he entered a production environment that connects television, advertising, digital content and film.

Varun Kaushik’s professional work has developed through a combination of production environments rather than a single medium. His television background provided experience with established production systems, while advertising introduced the requirements of brand-led visual communication. The creation of Varun Kaushik Films in 2019 gave this work an independent production-company platform.

The company’s association with commercial projects involving Samsung, MG Hector, Godrej Interio, Mahindra, Men of Platinum, Dalda and Luminous Solar Panels forms part of Kaushik’s documented commercial portfolio. These projects illustrate the range of brands and production formats connected with his work.

Another important part of the current phase of his career is MIYAAD. Scheduled for 2027, the Hindi feature is credited to Kaushik as writer, director and producer. The film therefore represents not simply another production assignment, but his move into feature filmmaking.

The transition from commercials and digital content to a feature film brings a different storytelling structure. Commercial work is often built around a concise message, while feature cinema allows a story to develop over a longer duration. Kaushik’s move into this space extends the range of formats represented in his career.

As MIYAAD moves toward its scheduled 2027 release, Varun Kaushik Films continues its commercial and digital activities. Kaushik’s professional profile consequently connects advertising production with his developing work in Hindi feature cinema.

For Kaushik, the journey from television to advertising, independent production and feature filmmaking represents an expanding body of work across India’s visual media sector.
